What is UTM?

This is a fundraising campaign to help provide musical instruments, class materials, and teachers to schools across the country that no longer have music programs, or lack the funds to maintain them throughout the school year. Our mission as an internet radio station, has always been to share our love and passion for music with as many people as possible. But the love of music doesn’t happen just when we are adults. It is something that should be shared with the world over, from the earliest age possible.

It is not uncommon today to see the elimination of elementary instrumental programs, district-wide string orchestra programs, grade-level choruses, and theory classes. It is estimated that a majority of Fine Arts Departments in public schools have adopted funding and/or program cuts since 2010.

For decades, arts and music education has been dying a slow death in many schools, strangled by budget cuts amid an ongoing emphasis on core subjects like reading and math and test scores as the measure of student success.

Not every student is a math wizard, or will become the world’s leading scientist. Some children may develop a personal connection with music, but with your help, we can open that door for them. Hot Rocks Radio is committed to giving this opportunity to as many children children of all ages, that we can.

What is Save The Music Foundation?

Save the Music Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, and the benefiting charity of our fundraising.

“Our mission is to help students, schools, and communities reach their full potential through the power of making music. For over 27 years we have been delivering equitable access to music education for millions of students nationwide.”

They donate instruments and music technology.
Provide support services for teachers.
Advocate for music education.

Does Hot Rocks Radio choose the schools?

No, that is up to the powers that be from Save The Music Foundation. They are better equipped to handle this as they have been working with school districts around the country for a very long time.

Fundraising Goal?

In our first campaign, we hope to raise $5,000.00, as quickly as possible. We would love to have these funds in the hands of Save The Music Foundation before the end of the year so it may be put to good use after the holiday break. Each week, funds collected will be sent over, and am update to our progress bar will take place, reflecting how close we are to the goal.

How Can You Donate?

Our team recognizes that financially, times can be very difficult. Please only donate what you can afford to give!!

Please keep your donation receipt for your taxes. You may be able to claim it on your annual filing as a tax write-off. Don’t worry if you can’t find it, come tax time. We can always provide you with another copy. On your statement you will see your donation listed under Monarch Productions, LLC. our parent company.

Terms Agreement with Save The Music Foundation

All proceeds from our fundraising efforts go directly to Save The Music Foundation, and a grant will be established under the name of Hot Rocks Radio, L.L.C. Each time funds are transferred from us, to them, we immediately begin the next goal chapter. We have already received our approval from Save The Music Foundation to hold this campaign for a term of one year.
